Rejuva-ism Now: Aussie Road Trips to support Bushfire affected towns
As Australians, and as a travel company, we, like everyone, are absolutely devastated over the nation’s Bushfire Crisis. We and our overarching company (Flight Centre Travel Group) are actively committed to supporting the national and local organisations assisting the communities and the precious wildlife animals in need, and like so many other Aussie businesses, we have made and matched staff donations.
But—we don’t want to leave it there—we can’t go without saying we bloody love this country and exploring our own backyard is valuable, now more than ever.
We’re not asking for you to book with us or offering you a deal, we’re just saying get out there and support these local communities!
It’s time for the great Aussie Road Trip revival! We’re calling it “Rejuva-ism” aka Rejuvenation Tourism. Grab an empty esky, fill up the tank and make plans to visit some of these beautiful country towns in the not-too-distant future, when safe to do so.

Check out Turia Pitt & Grace McBride’s #spendwiththem initiative, showcasing local businesses affected by the fires. Even if you don’t make it out on the road, you can order online from a host of businesses that sell locally made goods.
And keep an eye on the @emptyesky instagram with shout outs to local businesses to support along your road trips!
Please note: this is not an exhaustive list, merely a snapshot. The sheer size of the bushfires across the country is so large, there many other towns and communities affected. We urge you to get out and support areas affected both in your own state and interstate.
