Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is one of those things that you hope you will never need... but you really can't afford not to have. Just think about it - what if you have an accident in some remote part of the world or suddenly get appendicitis and need to have immediate surgery? What if you have all of your money stolen? Or what about if your flight is delayed and you end up missing your connecting flight and your tour group leaves without you?

It's not inevitable, but it's not impossible either

While any of these unfortunate circumstances could cost you an absolute fortune, they could also cost you a lot more in hassles and sheer disappointment. Where medical issues are involved, huge fees could prevent you from being treated in some countries, and then there are other countries where you may prefer to be transferred home - or to another country with higher healthcare standards. Again, this could easily cost you tens of thousands of dollars.

The lowdown

Individual travel insurance policies vary greatly but generally, you can arrange to be covered for all sorts of things that could go wrong - lost luggage, illness, accidents, personal liability, travel delay, missed departure or connection, personal money or rental vehicle excess waiver. And best of all, the cost is really small when you think about how much it could save you. There are heaps of insurance companies that offer different levels of cover so you can get an insurance quote for a policy that's best suited to your holiday. And if you are aged under 30, we've even got an insurance option that's ideal for you! Ask us about Travel Insurance for Under 30s to get the cover you need, without the unneccessary extras.

Although you hopefully won't need to use it, make sure you ask your travel consultant about insurance when you make your travel bookings. That way you can go off and enjoy an awesome holiday without worrying about what might go wrong.
