The happiest place in Hong Kong

For the kid inside of you that just won't grow up, a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland is a magical must. The resort and its park have been designed in accordance with the principles of feng shui so you can be sure to receive positive chi energy while you are visiting. Plus some mouse ears. Once inside you will find 6 themed areas to explore: Main Street USA, Tomorrowland, Toy Story Land, Adventureland, Fantasyland and Grizzly Gulch.

The first area, Main Street USA, is located at the entrance of the park and is based around the theme of small-town America from 1890 to 1910. From the past to the future, head on over to Tomorrowland where the highlight is Space Mountain, a rollercoaster that is sure to get your adrenalin pumping. Also onsite is Toy Story Land, which has been themed to make you feel like one of the toys with bamboo used to simulate large blades of grass and oversized characters and props such as a giant paper plane and a giant ball.

Adventureland will transport you far from civilisation to the remote jungles of Africa, Asia, South America and the South Pacific where you can take a jungle cruise around Tarzan's treehouse. While on the wild side, Grizzly Gulch is an abandoned mining town set in the mountains with plenty of woodlands where Disney characters roam. The town was set to be founded on the 8 of August in 1888, which is the luckiest date possible (according to Chinese superstition).

Lastly, get lost in the magic of Fantasyland, where you will find Sleeping Beauty's castle and an number of fave Disney characters to snap a photo with.  To get here, you can  take the MTR straight to Hong Kong Disneyland on a Mickey Mouse train! See, you're never too old for Disney!
