The Roman-Empire lives on in Vegas
Between the Bellagio and the Mirage lies Caesars Palace, a Roman Empire themed casino and resort. Originally built in 1966 the casino has undergone numerous renovations and extensions since then, making it one of the biggest on the strip.
While not the biggest (the Venetian/Palazzo takes out the number 1 spot) Caesar's Palace is still an icon of Las Vegas and a must do. Many attribute Caesar's appeal to its grandiose atmosphere, while others can't help but resist the gambling options like the Race & Sports Book where sports fans can enjoy a flutter on their favourite team amongst HD surroundings.
Caesar's is also the venue for many of Las Vegas' long-running shows. From Grammy award-winning divas to broadway musicals and front-running comedians, if you do anything at Caesar's Palace it should be a show. Just be sure to book well in advance as these events tend to sell out.
Another highlight is the casino's pools. Aptly titled the Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis, Caesar's has 6 decadent pools each with differing functions from relaxation, socialising and even swim-up blackjack. Just don't forget to bring your bathing suit.
