Whistler Currency Guide

Whistler uses the Canadian Dollar, and the US Dollar is also widely accepted throughout Whistler Resort.

ATMs can be found in Whistler Village and at most of the bars and resorts, as well as banks that are open from Monday to Saturday. If you plan on withdrawing money or using your credit card while travelling, don't forget to notify your bank before you go for security purposes.

Before you fly, it's a good idea to convert some of your Australian Dollars into Canadian Dollars to have with you when you arrive. Canadian Dollars are available to pre-purchase from Travel Money Oz before you leave Australia.

Travel Cards

For large purchases, it's a good idea to bring a credit card or travel money card with you on your holiday instead of carrying a lot of cash. If you don't have a credit card, consider a pre-paid Cash Passport, which allows you to load up to 10 major currencies onto the card and lets you access your money in the form of Canadian Dollars or US Dollars from ATMs and also use wherever MasterCard is accepted.
