Cheap flights to Paris
Fall in love, eat pastry, practice your French, eat pastry, take a selfie at the Arc de Triomphe, eat pastry, marvel at the Eiffel Tower, eat pastry – did we mention eating pastry? Make sure you plan your Parisian travel break when you’re not on a low-carbohydrate diet, because it will be impossible to deny yourself a baguette or brioche when you pass by Paris’ best bakeries such as the Cherche, Midi or Au Paradis du Gourmand. Known as one of the most romantic locations in the world, Paris is often referred to as the 'City of Love', but it's OK if you only fall in love with the famous pastries while you’re there – you won’t be the first. From the halls of the Louvre and the Musee de l’Orangerie to a quiet moment in the Shakespeare and Company Bookshop and a twilight session at the Pompidou, parking yourself in Paris for a bit makes for a mesmerising travel experience, and according to the romantics among us, unmatched by any other. Universal Traveller can get you there on a range of cheap flights but if you’re under 30, a student or teacher, could save a whole lot more Euro with our Student Flights.
Paris’s Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) receives the majority of flights from Australia. Flights will require a stopover in Asia or the Middle East. The largest airport in France sits 25 kilometres northeast of the city centre and was named after a former president of the country. Locals refer to the airport as Roissy Airport after the complex within the airport containing office buildings, shopping and hotels. A train service known as the RER B rapid transport system connects CDG airport to Paris in about 30 minutes. Roissybus offers a non-stop bus service to the city centre. Noctilien run an after-hours night bus service from the airport to the city. Another train service, TGV, and bus service, iDBus, provides connections to other cities in France.
